The VGT actuator controls the vanes inside the turbocharger which increases or decreases exhaust gases driving the turbine wheel, which in turn, increases or decreases turbo boost based on engine operating conditions.

When repair an actuator, replace the worn gaskets is a must, function of the VGT turbocharger actuator must be maintained 100% to ensure the greatest turbocharger power.
